One world, two visual languages.
One language you can find in my paintings is symbolic figuration, the other is abstract expression.
The symbols in my paintings are not riddles with a single correct answer. They are an invitation to your own interpretation. Some appear intuitively, others keep returning to me. Every viewer can find their own story in them.

I do not strive for perfect shapes. What matters more to me is the authenticity of gesture, texture and colour.
View in the gallery →A painting is not an answer. It is a space in which the viewer can discover their own meaning.
If any of the motifs spoke to you or opened a story of your own, I would be glad to hear from you.
Write to meThe paintings you see on Instagram are already finished. In Letters from the Studio I show how they come to life, their stories and thoughts, before I publish them.
